My “New” Lego Challenge – Blogmas!

I swear, it’s just because I love these games.

Back when I was neck deep into Lego Dimensions, I happened to look at my trophy list on Playstation. Because I was using PSNProfiles, I could see what games I’ve started, which ones I’ve completed, and which ones were still in the void. I realized that, while I love Lego games, I abandoned every one of them on the PS3 as soon as I bought my PS4 all those years ago.

Which means I have some uncompleted games to complete.

The list is nowhere near as daunting as the Xbox One list was. It’s only six games. But there’s a reason I haven’t done them.

  1. Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is one of those games that I haven’t every touched. I’ve been told that it can be a bit of a nightmare, which looks to be an understatement. This one will take the most time, I believe, due to a real lack of wanting to touch it.
  2. Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is another that I just never bothered to get, though I do own it now. Considering it’s from the old era, I know it is more unforgiving in many aspects, which is why I have avoided it. But, I think taking a trip down memory lane before Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga would be a good idea, as I know I’m not really going to want to touch this after that game arrives.
  3. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean. Well. I. Um. Okay, look, I’ve started the damn thing like five times, and every time I get to the back half of levels, get bored, and bail. I’m gonna need a reward system in place to get me to finish this one off. For those curious, this game contains the first four films, without a voice track, and major leaps from the source material, because death doesn’t exist in the Lego universe. Sometimes. Kinda.
  4. Lego Lord of the Rings. I’ve avoided this one. Honest. I am just not a Lord of the Rings fan. I have spent so many years of my life pretending that I didn’t read it, because I disliked it so much. But I want to at least have the platinum in it, so on the list it goes.
  5. Lego The Hobbit. I have a unique reason why I never finished this one! I found it to be laggy on PS3, compared to the PS4 version. I’ll play it with regret, but at least I have it down so that I can blast through the levels, though the post game is just frankly annoying.
  6. Lego Dimensions. Hush. I’m not playing to 100% on this one. Just getting all the trophies. I got the platinum early on in my Lego gaming days, which only a handful of the packs. I’m not about to go for 100% on the PS3, where the game runs slower and just seems to be a nightmare. I only have the ten level packs and the three story packs… which work out to be the size of a complete game. Whoops.

See? It’s not so bad. And my timeline is just 2021. December 31st. Nothing crazy, no real damage done.

Oh, and I am also adding Lego Dimensions on PS4, to 100%. I am only missing the three Story Packs and their associated worlds. It would only take a weekend to knock it out, when I get around to it.

So, that’s the new challenge.

Unless… I did ask for a Xbox 360 for Christmas. If that happens… this list just quadrupled in size. But that’s a nightmare for boxing day.

Until next time!
